There are a wealth of additional fields in Github's "Project" model that aren't available in Issues alone. I'd like to be able to sync and filter based on those fields. (E.g., there are very good parallels between Github Projects and Asana Projects.)

Agree. I run my software development teams using github projects, and these span many repos. My other teams (mechanical, product design, etc.) are run in Trello boards. I would really like to see this integration, as this product is gold for me if that exists, but useless otherwise, unfortunately.
